Grooming and Appearance Standards:
1. Hair of male cadets will be tapered in the back with sideburns no longer than the orifice of the ear, neatly trimmed. Hair will not fall over the ears or eyebrows, and the hair on top will not interfere with the normal wear of the military cover. Male cadets will always be clean-shaven except that a mustache may be worn if neatly trimmed.
Cadets are expected at all times to maintain the highest MCJROTC appearance, grooming, and uniform regulation standards. The following infractions will not be allowed while cadets are in the MCJROTC program:
* Sagging trousers exposing one's undergarments
* Sleeveless T-Shirts
* No exposing of undergarments
* No wearing of revealing clothing
* No suggestive pictures or script on clothing
Strict compliance with grooming standards outlined in the Marine Corps Uniform Regulation Manual will be enforced.
a. Male Cadets: This includes but is not limited to length (NO BRAIDS, DREDS, MULLETS, eccentric or unnatural style or hair color). Male cadets will be expected to maintain a short/close and neatly trimmed haircut at all times. No makeup or facial adornment (body piercings), excessive ear piercing, nose rings, etc.


b. Female Cadets: This includes but is not limited to length (NO ECCENTRIC HAIR COLOR, EXCESSIVE BRAIDS LENGTH) or hairstyles that interfere with the female cadet's ability to wear her uniform cover properly. Females will not be allowed to wear any makeup or facial adornment (body piercings), excessive ear piercing, nose rings, etc.
When in uniform, the hair of female cadets will be pinned and arranged so that it will not fall below the collar of the uniform being worn. Hair will not be worn in such a way that the uniform cover cannot be worn properly.
