GKCU College Scholarship
If you or your parent’s are not a member you can join the credit union with a minimum balance of $25 to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.

GKCU offers a scholarship every year to a deserving CBHS student.  Applications are due by March 15, 2019.

Harry Hampton & Wallace F. Pate Scholarships for students in the natural resources of wildlife biology, forestry, marine or environmental science majors.

SC Association of Counties Scholarship
This year a Georgetown County student will receive a $2,500 scholarship.  It could be you!!!!!
Applications are online at www.sccounties.org/scac-scholarships and must be completed by February 1, 2019. 


College of Charleston Cougar Advantage  
The CofC is offering the Cougar Advantage program for graduating students in the Top Ten Percent of their Class and meets the FAFSA guidelines to receive a Federal Pell Grant!
You must apply for admission by February 15, 2019, submit test scores by February 15, 2019 and file your FAFSA by March 1

2019 Journalism Contest Scholarship
Win a College Scholarship!  Enter the 2019 Journalism Contest by writing a 3 page article on the benefits of hiring people with disabilities.  “America’s Workforce: Empowering ALL”
Winner receives a four year scholarship to the SC state supported institution of his or her choice!!!!!!!!!!  This is HUGE!  All tuition and fees!!!!
Must be a high school senior ages 16 to 19.

Winyah Chapter of DAR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Scholarship Requirements:
1. Pursue an accredited 2 or 4 year program or technical school in preparation for a degree or certification for career
2.  Attain a Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher
3.  Perform a minimum of 20 hours of Volunteer Community Service during the 2018/2019 academic year    Examples of Volunteer activities include, but are not limited to:  preparing/serving/delivering meals to needy, elderly or infirmed; participation in beach/river cleanup; organizing canned food drive; hospital, clinic or shelter volunteer; assisting with/at fundraiser for non-profit charity or community organization; volunteering for summer or after school programs for the needy or disabled.
4.  Provide SAT/ACT scores
Must be mailed and received to the address on the application by March 15, 2019!

African American Network-Carolinas Scholarship
Requirements:
1. Graduating Senior at a North or South Carolina High School
2. Must attend a four-year college or university in North or South Carolina
3. Must plan to major in engineering, math, science, computer science, accounting, finance,     or business administration

Yawkey Foundation Scholarship
Applications due online by Friday, March 1, 2019—NO EXCEPTIONS!
Eligibility requirements:
1. Strong academic record or demonstration of significant improvement over time
2. Planning to attend a 4 year college or university in SC
Applicants from Georgetown County South Carolina must:
3. be a U.S. citizen and permanent resident of Georgetown County South Carolina
4. have a private or public college in South Carolina among your top four college choices
5. have someone in your life who you consider a mentor
6. have a family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $60,000 or less and/or an Expected Family     Contribution (EFC) of $5,000 or less

Tidelands Mary Atmar Johnson Scholarship
$1,000 scholarship
Eligibility:
1. Pursuing a degree in Nursing or Social Work
2. Horry, Georgetown, or Williamsburg County Resident
3. Complete the application according to instructions and requirements, submit app by         
   deadline and be available for possible interview.
4. Two reference recommendation forms required
5. 1 page essay
The application must be received in the office by March 4, 2019
