 Students Records and Transcripts request

 
Former students can request transcripts at http://www.parchment.com we hold student records at the school level for 3 years after your graduation, anything past 3 years you have to contact the Accountability & Assessments department of the GCSD Administrative Offices @ 843.436.7000 ext 7158 Ask for Mrs. Sherilynn Williams.

High School institutions can request student records via email (preferred) [email protected] or by fax 843.558.2555
                                                                          

  • If you have not taken the SAT or the ACT you should plan to do so as soon as possible.  All seniors will have to schedule a date through the testing program and take it on a Saturday.  The website for SAT is  www.collegeboard.org. and ACT is www.act.org. It doesn't matter which one you take. Find the one that fits you the best!  IF YOU NEED A FEE WAIVER please email Mrs. Williams or stop by guidance during your lunch.
  • Attention 12th Grade Female Students:
    Belle Mentor Program is an awesome resume builder and potential scholarship, and it's also great if you are thinking about a career in education or social sciences! career in education or social sciences!!!See the link in the 9th -12th grade opportunities tab.
 

The following schools have pledged to be Test Optional this year:
Allen University
Benedict College
Clemson University
Coast Carolina University
Coker College
Francis Marion University
Presbyterian College
University of South Carolina--All Campuses
Winthrop University
What does that mean for you?  When you are completing your application you choose the test optional option.  If you have already done your your application and didn't choose this option then you can call the Office of Admissions at that school and they will direct you how to change your application. Please let guidance know if you need assistance.


Class of 2022---How competitive are you as a class? SC Commission of Higher Education and the SC Student Loan Corporation are having a FAFSA COMPETITION.
The SC School in each division that has the highest percentage of students completing the FAFSA before April 1, 2022 will win a $1,000-$3,000 cash incentive for their school.  The Class of 2022 could have bragging rights and leave an awesome senior gift to the school without having to do fundraisers!  All you have to do is complete your FAFSA.

SCHOLARSHIP

Qualifications:


Be a U.S. Citizen
be a 17years
of age by 1st September of the first year of college

Be younger than 27 on 31
st December of the year in which college graduation and commissioning are anticipated.

Participated in JROTC at least one year while in high school

Be a high school graduate or possess an equivalent certificate.

Be physically qualified and be within height-weight standards.

A score of 74 on the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT), a composite score of 22 on the American College Test (ACT) or a combined score of 1000 in Math and Evidence-Based Reading on Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

Meet admission requirements of a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps-affiliated college or University of choice.
